Protocol Compliance and Clinical Efficiency: A guide to Ensuring Standards of Success Towards Healthcare Providers

By Belinda Z. Burgos González, MPH | Interviewing: Dr. Waldemar Paoli

To ensure quality patient care, evaluation of clinical setting alignment and patient-centered standards is crucial. For this reason, and with the help of Dr. Waldemar Paoli Breban, new medical director of Provider Network Solutions Puerto Rico, we explore some key metrics and tools that will help achieve compliance in quality healthcare services.

Key Metrics

There are several key indicators that can serve as a basis for establishing the care metrics that the patient could be receiving. These metrics can help identify areas in which greater support is needed. Per Dr. Paoli Breban, these indicators are:

Beyond the metrics as a starting point, Paoli Breban explained that there are standards that must be met to guarantee the service offered to health service providers, which in turn are provided to the patient. Among these they mentioned:

Analysis of data

In the same line of guaranteeing efficiency at the administrative level through constant evaluation, data analysis, and metrics, we seek spaces where new solutions can be created in medical care.

Paoli, a doctor with more than 20 years of medical practice, reviewed some tools that can support these goals:

Finally, the doctor stressed the importance of continuous training of all staff in line with the trends that are part of the health ecosystem.

“This not only improves outcomes for patients, but also optimizes administrative processes and strengthens the position in the health ecosystem. By implementing these practices and tools, we can improve the quality of care we provide and optimize our administrative processes, thus achieving better outcomes for both patients and providers”, Paoli added.
